Lasagna (with cottage cheese)
1 serving (3 cups) Frozen beef and cheddar sauce, thawed (see recipe here)
1 can tomato paste 5 1 / 2 ounces (156 ml)
1 / 2 tsp. tsp dried oregano
8 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1 cup cottage cheese
1 package sliced mozzarella cheese
grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix beef gravy and cheddar with tomato paste and oregano. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a rectangular dish with a capacity of 2 liters, shallow baking dish.
Arrange in layers half the lasagna, half the remaining sauce, all the cottage cheese and half the mozzarella. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake 35 minutes or until the lasagna is hot.

This was... strange.... but good. I admit : adding cottage cheese to the lasagna was NOT my cup of tea but I have to say that it was pretty good. Still, I'm not sure if I will re-do that recipe or not.

Lemon Rice
1 cup water
1 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 teaspoons butter
1 cup uncooked rice, long grain
1⁄4 teaspoon dried basil
1⁄8-1⁄4 teaspoon grated lemon
1 1⁄4 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
Combine all ingredients EXCEPT lemonpepper in saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
Cover pot and allow to simmer slowly for 20 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
Sprinkle with lemonpepper before serving.

Oh my! I would give this 10 stars if I could. I made this as a side, but I ate all the leftovers as a main dish. I loved loved the texture of this rice. It was so easy to make too.

LEMON CHICKEN AND PAPRIKA
Ingredients:
Olive oil 75 ml (1/3 cup)
30 ml (2 tbsp.) Lemon juice
10 ml (2 tsp.) Paprika
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Grated zest of 1 lemon
5 ml (1 tsp.) Dijon mustard
5 ml (1 tsp.) Salt
1 whole chicken
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Cooking Instructions:30 ml (2 tbsp.) Lemon juice
10 ml (2 tsp.) Paprika

In a bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken. Book.
With your fingers, gently lift the skin from chicken without tearing.
Spread lemon, oil and paprika under the skin and brush as the top.
Add Pepper. Place the chicken in a baking dish. Add the lemon wedges.
Bake for about 2:00 or until the meat separates easily from the bones.
Serve with lemon rice and a vegetable of your choice.

Ah ! Lemon and chicken... It's like chocolate chip cookies and milk : you cannot have one without the other !
This is a great recipe, the trick is not to tell anyone how easy it is to make, everyone loved it, and thought it took me hours to make.

Bolognese Sauce Slow Cooker
Ingredients:
2 pounds (900 g) extra lean ground beef
3 carrots, peeled, finely chopped
2 celery stalks , finely chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 can (398 ml) tomato sauce with no added salt
1 can (398 mL) diced tomatoes with no salt added, undrained
1 can (5.5 oz or 156 ml) tomato paste
1/4 cup dressing with extra virgin Italian olive oil
1 c. of Italian spices
440 g of whole wheat spaghetti, uncooked
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 100%
3 carrots, peeled, finely chopped
2 celery stalks , finely chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 can (398 ml) tomato sauce with no added salt
1 can (398 mL) diced tomatoes with no salt added, undrained
1 can (5.5 oz or 156 ml) tomato paste

here, I cannot imagine my life without pasta !!
I've made this recipe a couple times now and it's been a hit every time. The 3rd
time I tried this recipe, I added sausage meat with the ground beef for
something different and it was excellent !
